Thankyou

that's an interesting avatar... :shock:

Looks like two 1000W cyclone knock-offs next to each other. Nowhere near $2000 worth of parts.

I thought this also, i like the setup looks like that pk ripper worklog i see on this forum also. But not as good but priced much more haha. You think these are cyclon motor? I see these kits also on ebay but motor look different?

There are a number of different variants on those motors, very similar to the ones used by cyclone. They are probably coming from a number of different factories in China.

For example, at this site, you can get the motors for about $120 each.

This is a cyclone kit. They recently added the double 1000w motor kit to their product lineup. The ebay auction is a reseller putting a hefty markup on what he paid for it to sell it to suckers who dont know about the Cyclone website. You can get this kit directly from Cyclone for $768 USD + $222.72 USD postage here;

Keep in mind though that the price in in Australian dollars, so it is currently 1,479.89 USD exluding postage in the auction.

This kit was already discussed here;

Also, FYI the motors incorporated in the Cyclone kits are made by Headline motor Taiwan. Cyclone is the only company i have found that is reselling them in small retail quantity bundled with their kits, as Headline are only interested in wholesaling large batches to retailers (I emailed them about this). It would be nice to bypass Cyclone and just buy the motors and controllers from Headline as they are much better quality than the rest of the kit rubbish that cyclone bundles with them.

Those Motors pointed out on TNC scooters are made by Unite motor, not Headline motor. Although they look of similar design, you can easily tell them apart. Unite motors are almost exclusivley brushed motors whereas the headline motors are all brushless and IMHO better quality. Unite motors are the most common chain drive DC motor used in the majority of electric bikes. They are pumped out in large quantity from Mainland china unlike Headline motors which come from Taiwan. You will see them for sale on most electric bike/scooter websites at very attractive prices. Their really isn't much brand choice when looking for low rpm chain drive DC motors 200W>2000W.

I have a friend that is using the cyclone setup on the crank as shown, but with a gas engine 1.6 hp 4 cycle, the torque from the engine, and his peddling would take the freewheel out in a couple of weeks, look for chain stretch also.

Thankyou for information boostjuice much cheaper direct from cyclone i thought it might
be the case of EBay seller puting large markup on sale.
