Statorade question

Hi guys
Does statorade degrade or gunk up the motor if it has sitting in the motor for a long time...say a year or more?
I am waiting on some statorade coming in the mail and would like to apply it to my motor as well as my spare since its already opened up. Just curious thx

Wouldn't do it. Ferrofluid is nothing new under the sun, and has been used for decades now in the high tec audio scene to cool speaker magnets. Don't know what Grin tec's formula is exactly, but all FF I've seen tend to thicken over time to the point of eventually drying out. I guess with the right oil carrier it will last long enough for most ebikers to not notice it but I'd still recommend using it only when required, and otherwise keep it stored somewhere well sealed.
