So this is my first post and first cry for help

I know my electronics (kind of), have been building drones and RC planes & cars for a long time. Relatively new to ebikes - well, bikes in general! I will be posting a lot more I'm sure!

I have purchased a surron and a nyx ebike , both are awesome bikes! I have a query about some parts on the bikes and where i can source replacements for them. Apologies if this is the wrong forum to ask this.

I need to buy a new rear gear for the NYX as its constantly spinning and not allowing any drive from the pedals - does any one know what type of gear i would be looking for? (pic attached)

Also i need a new suspension "protector" or "Shield" for the surron front forks. I have purchased 2 types now and neither fit, any idea what ones i need? They are reverse suspension forks i believe (i am probably using the wrong terminology! )

Any help is appreciated

have a great day!
Terry

I'd guess you're referring to the freewheel. Most likely any bicycle single-speed freewheel with the same number of teeth as yours will fit. Usually the threads are 1.37" x 24TPI.
https://www.google.com/search?q=single+speed+freewheel&source=lnms&tbm=isch
You'll also need the right tool for the one you have to remove it before you can install the new one, htis depends on the splines or indentations on the inner ring's outboard face, which isn't visible on yours until the wheel is removed from the bike. Park Tools and other companies make various removers. If you only need to do this once it's probably cheaper to take just the rear wheel to a local bike shop and have them remove it. Installing the new one typically just means greasing it's threads and spinning it on (pedalling will tighten it up right quick ;) ).
This page shows you the many kinds, and why you have to match the remover to the type you're removing.

Many companies make these tools, from cheaply-made to really good...but your limitation is that you must get one that has an axle hole large enough to fit over your motor's axle. If it doesn't, you'd have to drill or file it out until it does, before you can use it to remove the fw. Most are made for 10mm bicycle axles...motor axles are almost always several mm wider than that and won't fit in the hole.

Also i need a new suspension "protector" or "Shield" for the surron front forks. I have purchased 2 types now and neither fit, any idea what ones i need? They are reverse suspension forks i believe (i am probably using the wrong terminology! )
You're probably looking for a "stanchion boot", like some of the pics in this link show?
https://www.google.com/search?q=stanchion+boot&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjj5KGKsNHuAhVThJ4KHa-ZDxUQ2-cCegQIABAA&oq=stanchion+boot
Assuming that's the part you're after (since the pics dont' seem to show anything I think of for "suspension protector / shield"), then if you know the brand and model of fork you have (not fully visible in the pics, but might be DNM brand?) you could try to use that along with "stanchion boot" to find possible sources of the right length and diameter.

If that's not what you're after, you should post a good pic that shows the complete part you are lookign for with an arrow (or finger) touching it. ;)

DNM's bicycle fork page:

Some DNM parts links (sorry I don't know if they ahve anything useful)

The stanchion guard that you need is the same model as the one that you still have on the left. They are sold by pair only. A DNM reseller on Aliexpress should sell you a pair, but DNM are known for complicated supply of spare parts. Yet, those for Marzocchi are easy to find and not so complicated to adapt to your fork.

Theeaded freewheels are normally available at the local bike shop. The one that you need is the most common type standard english thread. If you are willing to pay for a good one that will be serviceable and last very long, you can check online for White Industries freewheel.

Thank you amberwolf and MadRhino!!! So - I removed the wheel/motor and it looks like its a SF-MX30 18T - looks like it fits on there as is (i hope) or some spacers have been added (see image)

Going to try and order the same so its an easier swap - would you be able to advise what the tool is i will need?

re "stanchion boot" - I need the fork guard for the reverse fork as per picture. Do you think these ones would fit? https://www.stompparts.com/product/fork-guards-marzocchi/ 3rd time lucky on ordering if they will :)

The stanchion guards that you linked to are not the easiest to adapt for a DNM, but it is not so much work to make an angle bracket with rivets.

Maybe ill try my first order from ali express for the DNM stanchion guards and see if they arrive! Cant believe they are not available on ebay or anything! For the freewheel, do you know what tool i would need to remove it? Happy to buy it, right now no shops are even open where i live!

Thanks again for your help!

I would never buy a DNM. I prefer an old used fork Italian or American made to any Chinese fork.

The Judy is known for very low maintenance and long life expectation, but it is not an efficient suspension. I have here an old Marzocchi Shiver DC that I have paid 200$, rebuilt and upgraded myself for another 200$. I have a 2009 RockShox Boxxer WC that I have paid 300$ ready to ride. Also an old DHO which was the DH racing version of the Judy, that was on a complete used bike paid 400$, and had a good Shimano DH crank too, Magura hydro rim brakes, Azonic saddle and handlebar.

Any 20mm axle fork can be turned into a QR15 with a cheap adapter kit.
