Hi all

Im dying to upgrade my surron to a 72V battery with controller - but simply put the options in the Uk are limited, and would need to over spend on an ASI BAC4000 or BAC8000 pre-tuned. I could build a batter myself no issue. Im trying to not spend £850+ on a BAC controller. I have seen only one video on youtube where someone has used a Sabvoton in a surron- does any one know how easy this is? Or direct me to any wire diagrams or advise on any specific tunes I should try?

i will document the entire build if people think that its advisable/possible?

Thanks

Terry

It is a very common 3 phase motor, thus can be driven with almost any ebike controllers out there, including very cheap ones. The only problem is the display/control functions communication with the controller. So yes, you can do it but the simple way might be to replace the display with one matching the controller that you will be using. I would add a temp monitor since it would be very easy to feed the motor well above its safe operation power limits.
