Hi and greetings from Austria, my name is Andreas and i thought about starting to build an EBike.
I am from the "esk8-news" community, already build an ESK8 and working on an OneWheel.
I did some research and need some help regarding the materials and knowledge about it.
Also my basement has limited space and customization possibilitys.

General information:
1. Overall the target distance should be 60km (Town to Twon).
2. The target speed should be about 60kph. Average 40kph.
3. Rider weight 70kg.
4. Brake type disc ok.

I will walk step by step through the information i already collected.

Frame - Vector Light:
At some point i stumbled over the Vector light frame and i like it.
In Arturs Post i didn't find any negative feedback.

Hub Motor Variant A - XOFO DD45:
When using the DD45 it can only fit a single speed freewheel as i understand.
I think it is no big issue if i do not have any gears.
If you think this is a big "no no", i am greateful for every suggestion.

Hub Motor Variant B - MXUS 3k Turbo:
I have seen a recomindation of the motor in this post.
I don't know if it can fit a single or multispeed freewheel.
Also i did not find a seller with a better price who also looks trustworthy (e.g. Aliexpress)

Controller - Little FOCer:
This is an VESC based Controller from Shaman at the esk8 forum.
There should also be an already merged PAS support on Github if necessary.
I also thought about usinge Phaserunner from GRIN Technologies.
As i have noticed there are some BESC controllers around based on Vedders project.

BMS - DieBieMS:
This is an BMS from ENNOID at the esk8 forum.
On complication i will use any of Litechpower.

Battery Pack:
Target voltage is 72V.
Quantity, brand and so on, will be figured out when i got the frame.
Battery will be build by myselft.
The bigger problem at them moment is the avaibility.

General:
Suspension, Spring and Brakes from Vector.
Throttle & Torque Sensor form GRIN Technologies.
Charger from Aliexpress.

Question:
If the end result has no gear shift, does the bike with an suspension need an chain tensioner?
Do i miss something? Any suggestions?

Conclusion:
This project is no urgent mather.
I just started to collect all the information.

Yours Andreas

Your stated preference, Vector Light, appears to have the bottom bracket integral with the rear triangle, so no tensioner required for a single speed. Distance between the front chainwheel and rear sprocket should remain constant throughout the suspension travel range.

Perfect, thats a good thing to know.

Yes, but since the dropout is vertical, chances of the number of links on your chain resulting in perfect chain tensioning in any given gear is about zero. You will need a tensioner of some kind. Could be a derailleur locked into position, or whatever. One option is a rear lengthening attachment, always good for higher speeds, which could be made with a horizontal dropout for tension adjustment.
