I'd like to build be an ebike similar to the Lectric XP, but for the life of me, I cannot find any bikes with that type of frame that aren't already ebikes. Surely someone makes a 20" fat tire bike that is just a bike?

I really, really doubt it. Everything about those bikes makes them unpleasant and extremely slow to pedal. When folded, they're several times as bulky as a real folding bike. A pedal-only version of such a thing would have at best a very limited market (of self-pwning dudes). Only adding a motor makes them any fun.

These, Super 73 type e-minibikes, and crude heavy single pivot "enduro" bikes only exist because they're motorized.

However, you could get yourself just the frame of one of these monstrosities and build it up to your liking:

A 20 inch wheeled bike is a good choice if you want to get the most power out of a hub motor. But a lot of them are awfully small or flimsy until you start looking at semi recumbent bikes.

I can almost guarantee you'll regret a folding bike as an electric. I haven't ridden one that doesn't seem flimsy.

The 20' fat tire folders aren't that nice with a motor in my opinion. Still they are very popular with boomers that haven't ridden a bike in 20-30 years. Why not, they are comfy. and easy to get on/off if you get a step thru. There's just not much feeling of a bike. I bought one, thinking it would be like my 20" folder, only with wider tires, but it's 25 pounds heavier, and almost a foot longer.

At $899 for the Lectric XP, even if they sold bare frames, I bet you couldn't find a 48V10AH battery and motor and compete in the build vs buy competition. My Ecotic was only $769. although it's only 36V and had a crappy 3 speed PAS.

Unlike Neptronix, I find standard 20" folders and 20" minivellos a lot of fun. They are darty, as short wheelbase bikes will be. I ride them fairly slow, so they don't feel flimsy to me. Then again, when your steerer is 2 feet long, it needs a good design to keep the flexing down. Ditto for seat tubes that extend to the sky.

We all stand corrected. You can buy 20" non folding bikes from aliexpress. You'll have to decide if the frame fits you or if this is a gussied up kiddo bike.

FYI. I ordered a different bike from China. Takes a while. Eight weeks to get to the USA, and it's been in customs for 10 days so far,
