I am looking for some panniers that can double as a battery box for a rather large battery I'm building (14S 10P for 18650 or 8P for 21700). Hoping to keep the depth of the box as thin as possible (so around 3.5-4 inches) so they don't stick out too much. Since it is such a large battery I really don't want to have it in a fabric/plastic case incase the bike falls over ( 
).
At the end of the day the pack that has to fit in the box is approximately 12x8.5x3 inches
As such I have already looked into these options:
I have found that the 30 cal ammo cases (here: https://www.cleanammocans.com/30-cal-ammo-cans.html) are the right depth, but JUST a bit to small to fit the battery plus BMS. The 50 cal (here: https://www.cleanammocans.com/50-cal-ammo-cans.html) are a bit to chunky.
Alternatively I have looked into some aluminum brief cases such as this one (amazon) but find the cardboard + foil construction to be terrifying.
There are other options such as an expensive one here: amazon but I think there are better out there.
I have also looked into purpose built battery holders on ebay/aliexpress (such as this one: aliexpress but they are just too small.
I really am hoping that I don't have to custom fab one. Anyone have any other ideas?
