They say stuff like:

... and:
At less than 11 Lbs . including battery and dual purpose rack, the Alizeti 300C system is the lightest eBike retrofit on the market today. The 500-watt friction drive motor and lightweight removable 24 Volt lithium-ion battery, provides a ride speed of up to 20 Mph without pedaling. You can now enjoy the thrill of a full featured eBike without the extra weight.

Thanks (again) to Mark Sutton at "cyclingindustry.news" for picking up on this:

^^ Hehe... Maybe you meant how it compares to the din on urban traffic NOISE...

I find friction drives better on the front of the rear wheel, where the tire already expelled most of the water and dirt. Other than that, I find this one a nice compact and integrated design that is easy to fit.

^^ Hehe... ... et j'adore la belle province! Hehe... Have written them to seek to be their rep in the Toronto area.

Does it actually exist ?
There was a lot of CGI, renderings, and photoshoped images , in that video....but nothing actually working ?
Surely you would not be questing if more effort went into marketing production than product production

Hi Everyone,

Their have been lots of questions floating around here about our product and company, and I am certain there will be many more to come. I will be popping in from time to time to see if I can answer some of your questions.

First off yes Alizeti is a real company. We just moved offices and are curretnly in a 40 000 sq foot facility in Montreal. We will be at the Interbike show again this year as we were last year and I invite anyone who will be at the show to come by our booth to see our 300C in action. We are planning to be at the test track as well so you can take the unit for a spin if you like. We will be at booth number 22158 and you can find our exact location on the map at http://www.interbike.com under the exhibitors list.

Hope to see some of you guys there!

In this age of 3D printing and laser-cut/water-jet...there is no reason to not have a working prototype. I would provide some advice, but...the existing threads on friction drives cover every possible design issue, and the best-working solutions.

Hehe... ES Bible "Search found 414 matches: +friction +drive" (in any first message text)"...

Thread "Kepler Bottom Bracket Friction Drive For Sale (Finally)"...

"Hillhaters Mk 3 Friction drive !"...

... then there's the "Ride Kick"...
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=31312

(Watt ES User adobian notes as "It's better than friction drive."...)

Any other ES "highlights re friction drive"?

... and ES Username "Alizeti" (Tony?)... Maybe care to add/subtract/expound/etc?

I have a question please? I'm currently rolling on a 20" front tire (and two 16" back wheels (recumbent trike). Will guess that often friction drive systems involve a diamond frame down tube (watt I DON'T have... presently).

ES thread "Converting Hammacher Schlemmer cheapo trike":
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=57408

Yes? No? Maybe? (To drive front tire...)

Edit: EG... Might the Alizeti be "reversible" (to mount over a front wheel)?

Hi Alizeti, welcome to the forums,
Do you have any videos of you unit working on a bike ?

Yes, we do but these are not slick videos for distribution.

We are working on a series of videos for our Youtube channel which we will be uploading just after the Interbike show in Las Vegas in September which will showcase the unit in action as well as show how easy it is to install.

If you are attending the show in Vegas, come by our booth we will have 2 units on the test track for you to try out.

Thanks!

Hmm ?..... Vegas is a bit beyond the range of my Ebike !... So i dont think i can make that
You do realise that 95% of your customer base are here , on the net, and will not make it to Vegas ?
I wasnt expecting a full "Hollywood" type production with a Bruce Buffer intro....just a quick GoPro vid to show how it looks, goes, and sounds .
We have a saying on here.."Without pictures,..it didnt happen".

Wouldn't make any difference. The show is not open to the public.
H'mmmm ... September in Vegas, that has got to be hot!

Hehe... "Unfortunate" perhaps, Alizeti may be more interested in a local ebike store (or "chain") rather than anybuddy with academics in marketing and accounting (and battery electrics that has played and written about same for decades) who knows some area ebike store owners... AND served as Treasurer for a growing area ebike "club"/association... Anyway. Not sure WATT they want. Too bad. Like most new businesses, likely to fail perhaps. (Still wish `em "luck" but not hopefull.)

Hi Guys,

Seems like there has been quite a bit of demand for a video of the Alizeti 300C so now that we are back from Interbike 2017 I'll post a link for you guys to check out. Hopefully it will work.

Cheers!

Hehe... D'you realize who you were speaking with at the start of your video?

Notice that they never mention how quiet the system is?

You can hear it for yourself on the Alizeti YouTube page.

Hard to make a success with a western made ebike kit. Lots of good partners a must.

I believe that a quick installation friction drive kit has a good potential though. Wish you the best, even more so to a close neighbour. Your office is a 5 min bike ride away, (my bike, not yours).

This clip will give you a good idea of just how loud it is... Enjoy!

Does Alizeti have an add-on kit yet... to make it sound normal?

I love the idea of a complete friction drive kit to put on or take off an exspensive bike without modifying it. Doesn't look like this will fit in my bmx though. Still waiting for a light weight bmx conversion.
