Cycle Analyst V3 vs V2.4

I'm going to order a cycle analyst today and I was wondering which version would work best for me. What can the V3 do that the older one can't? I looked through the website and I couldn't really find a clear answer as to the extra features. My bike is throttle only so the pedal assist features don't really matter to me.

v3 has thermal limit feature. Assuming your motor has a compatible thermal sensor to plug in to the v3.
Also if you have a Phaserunner, you can hook up throttle to the CAv3.
