Phase cable = speed

I have this display and a QS 273 and a Kelly 7230S.

You should connect the speed cable from the display to the phase.

If the display shows no speed, someone knows where the problem is.
 
I don't have experience with that particular controller, but most would use one of the motor hall sensors to feed the speed input, not a phase wire.
 
I would definitely try using one of the motor hall signals for "phase" first to see if it works. This is a 5v signal. The actual phase wires will be full battery voltage at peak so could fry the circuit if it is not made to handle that much.
 
I think phase connection seems correct as you need to order hall connection as special feature for this speedo.

Could be that sinusoidal controller output disturbs the function as speedo signal, a square wave controller output is... square.

@torti: ask seller if there can be problems with sinewave controllers
 
that is for a higher speed.
only shows a speed then 41km / h


I think the sine controller is causing problems.
