I've been lurking for quite a while. I was considering building one of the many Lebowski controllers and have been doing lots of research here.
The work here is amazing but seems build time heavy. I've been considering building my own Lebowski smd controller and power output stage (and sharing it all.)
Looks like some of the typically used parts might be marked EOL. The current sensors (ACS758) are marked not for new designs. I've been looking at alternatives for components and how to do all of this. Its a large part learning for me, hopefully you guys that fully get this stuff are willing to critique my ideas.
I was thinking IXYS SOT-227B modules and how to wire it all together and provide cooling. I stumbled across SEMix modules, https://www.semikron.com/products/product-classes/igbt-modules/detail/semix151gd12e4s-27890200.html this would remove tons of headaches in routing wiring, cooling, power, and components in these projects. I'm wondering if anyone here doing development has considered or seen these modules or modules like them.
I haven't been able to find info on max frequency of these larger modules (other larger FET's too.) Are these a good choice? What am i missing besides them being pricey?

They also have http://shop.semikron.com/Products-and-Shop/Product-Groups/IGBT-MOSFET-Modules/SEMITRANS/
