Ebike functionality with VESC controller

Hi

I am running a VESC controller on a Bosch mid-drive motor. I would really like sine european style e-bike functionality.

I would like an external speed sensor and PAS functionality for use with a torque sensor.

Is there a known way to inplement these things on the controller? I really like it apart from these shortcomings.

I am aware of the KT custom firware, which has these functions, but I like the small form factor og the VESC as well as good sensorless FOC over the more old fashioned kt controllers.
