Hi!
Got my me1616 running with a Sevcon gen4 size 4 72/80V. At first I had some trouble with the encoder and phase wires but after I figured that out i was able to spin the motor in fwd and rev-direction.
I still have one issue and that’s a overvoltage fault that’s being triggered when I pull pack the throttle and let the motor spin free. When the torque demand is decreasing there is a voltage spike that exceeds the 116V rating of the Sevcon controller. This triggers a fault in the controller disconnects the main contactor.
If I slowly pull back the throttle to zero, there is no fault triggered.
I have set the torque demand for neutral braking to zero:
Any ideas on what to go after to limit or remove the spikes?
