Group buy for the MXUS 3000W 45mm Direct Drive Hub motor as noted in the original thread here:

The specifications are;
Color: Black
Drop-Out Width: 140mm (This is the smallest option they can provide)
kV/Winds: 15X4 4-Turn motor, for approximately 1km/h per volt ~8.33 Kv
Threaded Cover only, no freewheel included
Hall Sensors & Temperature sensor
Disc Brake Mounts
Phase wires 2.5mm² are good enough if kept short (80cm).
The 14mm axle is made of S45C steel.
0.5mm laminations

About 6 days shipping time with air express to Hamburg.

Waiting time for the e4bike MXUS 3000 version is till end of November.

Here is my calculation based on invoice from MXUS
3690USD for 20pcs MXUS XF40-45H shipped with Air cargo to Hamburg.
That is about 2905€ +22% taxes (19%)and customs (~3%)= 3544€ / 20 = 177€.

Pickup in Hamburg 0€ Shipping in Germany 6€
Shipping in EU i calculate the cheapest from Hermes or GLS or DHL
Handling 20€ per member. This includes repacking motors and PayPal fees and everything else.

I also don't want wait for ever.
But we first have to get enough buy interest than we can decide.
No one knows exactly when they upgrade the motors and I'm no fortune teller.

I am very interested in this. I believe that the MXUS 3000w hubmotor has potential. What has me on the fence is the skinny phase wires. I have a 1000w MXUS now and has the same size wire. The wires already get very hot when i run an infineon at 2000w. Can you imagine the new motor at 3-4000w? This has to be resolved \/ampa before you order and I am in!

wow, this is much interest in a short time.
I will send MXUS now an inquiry with updated phase wires.
But if it is not possible because of limited space from the axle and bearing hole. That would be no reason to not buy.
Because when a 4mm² or better 6mm² cable is welded shortly (3-5cm) behind the cable exit point than there is only about 15-20cm of 13AWG 2.6mm² phase wire.
And that can carry pretty much current according to the calculator i used.

hi guys nice to see that we are getting closer to the minimun of 20 pcs.
but i think most of us can change the phase wire's by your self..
or is it the time you don't want to spend on it?
remeber it is a lot cheaper than a crystalyte, (4065 or 4080) more than 220 euro euro's cheaper and it also has a wider stator.

so i would say sign in and buy one so we all can have our mxus faster

Regarding the phase wire issues. I have played a little with the wire calculator.
For 80cm 3 wire 2.6mm² the waste/heat is @3KW 4,5w @5KW 13w @10KW 52w
I see no need for upgrading the phase wires. Peaks of 10KW and constant 3KW should be no problem.
But i am unsure if this is true. Would be nice if some one can confirm this.

Thanks world wide community i would suggest 12 awg as a minimum {as their standard is 16awg] and would get it done at factory that way you know the machined wire channel is deep/ wide enough as well... im sure it is.
i personally will fit 10awg and venting later for using at its peak power

If they have to weaken the axle even more and it also will be more expensive i clearly deny this suggestion.
Its better to put 6mm² close to the wire exit from motor than your suggestion.
