Small AC setup advice

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with a small AC setup. I’ve dabbled with 72v DC brushless setups but never AC. I was wondering what the upside to going with AC was with a motor that would say power a small cart. Any suggestions on where to get a reliable motor and controller if I did go that route?

A simple search reveals the answer to ac vs dc, I was curious myself and it took 22.5 seconds to find a few convincing reasons.
Here was the first link
https://provscons.com/heres-why-tesla-uses-ac-induction-motors/
Tesla uses AC induction motors because it has more torque even at high speed, simple design, cost-effective, do not need rare earth minerals rich permanent magnet, high reliability, and easier regenerative braking system design.

As for sites

This site is not loading for me, they might have ac stuff, I know they got dc stuff like high powered mid drive motors and car hub motors if any of that interests you - from years past the .ca website was more helpful then their global website https://www.goldenmotor.com/

It's kind of like diesels in the 1990's compared with post 2000, DC is adequate while AC offers far more refinement at the cost of price and complexity. DC is still the only viable option for most of the vehicles people want to convert imho, AC is ideal for low speed city commuters but unless you just want to show off your bankroll you'd be going DC with an SUV. Battery costs will still be the biggest outlay and it gets easier as more used automotive parts become available but as far as I can see controllers are still a deal breaker.
