Tata Nano, two small motors on a single shaft

this guy put two small motors, kinda like the BHT i'm using or probably slightly bigger, on a single shaft to drive the "world's cheapest car" (600-ish kg curb weight WITH engine which he removed)

would probably overheat the motors, right?

also aren't there synchronization or load sharing issues w/ using twin motors? although they do have separate controllers...
 
On a single shaft, no sync issues because they're mechanically locked together. As long as they started in phase, they stay that way.
