I'm planning to build a stand-up scooter but I'm having a hard time finding a hub motor that gets the top speed I'm looking for (~40mph). The design is likely going to revolve around what I can find for a motor so system voltage can be whatever but 50V ideally. I want this scooter to look minimal and as close to a standard scooter as possible so I'm going for about 8-10 inch wheels (tire included).
40mph w/ 10'' motor requires ~ 1300rpm
Hoping for in the ballpark of 80Nm starting torque but willing to compromise if need be.
I know that the Dualtron Thunder and a few of the Nanrobot scooters have motors that would work but I haven't been able to find a place that sells them. I'm also trying to find datasheets and/or torque-speed curves.
Any help would be appreciated.
