Hello my friends, looking for some advice on a DIY energy storage project up to 20kWh (as close to)
I've been looking to build an energy storage project for years, now I have some time. I have built ebike battery packs, and am working on 800V packs for work, so I have some idea how to keep myself alive and well while working with HV.
To get to about 20kWh I thought the obvious would be an old Leaf 24kWh battery pack, even somewhat degraded. I inted to pull 3kW maximum from it, so even if the pack went high IR, should still cope fine. However, here in Scandinavia old Leaf packs are rare and expensive, guess due to the cold they don't break as often.
The junkyard sites seem to be full of PHEVs, but which ones have nice big batteries? I could search one by one, but wanna shortcut the process and if you have something to share I listen
