Hi everyone
I have been unsuccessfully googling to try and find a solution, both here and elsewhere. But this forum seems serious so I thought I would try consulting you guys.
My wife has an e-bike from a vendor here in Denmark. The bike is called X-zite ego 7 speed.

Controller information:
KZQW22A-KCTSD700C-EBK045
Input DC36V
Brand: Suzhou Tongsheng bicycle co. Ltd.
https://i.ibb.co/Smy5QBG/controller.jpg
https://i.ibb.co/8NMxWyH/controller-01.jpg

Engine:
Frontwheel 250W
AKM18092199784
BBB36700A
https://i.ibb.co/dDKsxjk/motor.jpg

The thing is that the display cover is a bit broken and therefore has water leaking in, which fried something inside.

My questions are:
I found out that I can remove the display completely and connect the + wire with the power wire for the now missing display and from there on drive at minimum level (default level) (They are the red and blue wires on the display but on the controller they are the purple and red wires)
https://i.ibb.co/c1vW0cs/display-01.jpg
https://i.ibb.co/sCmDv5Y/display-02.jpg
But I wonder if it´s possible to forget about the display and just put on some form of switch that only has low and high power to choose from instead of a display? Maybe with a 5 volt signal or something like that?

Or is it really necessary to have the darn display on to control the power?

Would it be possible to use a throttle instead to the controller?

If a display is a necessity, does it have to be an original display or would it work with different kinds for instant one of the following pictures:

This is the same display, but with another connecter.

It´s from the danish vendor and costs 400 ddk ~ 54 Euro - Is that a ok price in the EU?

The thing is, this display is a piece of crap – fragile plastic and I´m sure a new one would rupture quickly and leave me with the same issues once more. So I want to find a better solution.

Last question:
Would it be possible to remove the inhibitor on the engine, so that it doesn´t turn off when you reach 25 km/h. And would it be possible to do it with a st-linkv2 and if so how (is there a guide somewhere)?

I would really appreciate your guidance, cheers 😊

i would say yes to display always needed. i would buy display and test to see if it works and if it doesn't, return it. looks like the display is a sm plug, unless it goes from sm to wp then the pic of the original display should work.

Can you describe what the up and down arrows on the display do?

I found that I could not make it work without a display. I bought a new display and everything works as it should. It is a display with 3 steps instead of 4 steps like the old one. But the new display seems to be better quality.

bought this display with this connector.

The arrows allow you to adjust the power of the engine, how much it should help. Arrow up, more strength, down arrow, less strength, less help
