Hi,
I'm having an issue with my new no name ebike and I know exactly when it happened if someone could help me narrow it down. I was coming into my building on the ground floor the door is kind of on almost an embankment as I was opening the door the bike was rolling backwards with me and I twisted the throttle and goosed it a little bit to get on up through the door because the doors are secure and you have to have a fob to open them so I open the door out me as I opened it I rolled backwards I twisted the throttle to go forward through the door. I heard a noise that now I can't really describe. Now I have a error 7.
I have a 16 inch fat tire ouxi v6?
Originally the Amazon ad said Qmwheels. My purchase history now shows a different bike altogether now. This is my main source of transportation.

There are different error code sets for different controllers/displays. Error 7 or 07 means different things for different bikes, so without knowing what you have on the bike, can't do more than guess what it might be.

Do you have a hardcopy manual that came with the bike?

Best guess is that since the motor was spinning in the wrong direction when the controller was commanded to spin it forward, the controller didn't send the power to it in the right order, and feedback from the motor vs what the controller did damaged the controller. (a well-designed controller won't have a problem with this, but there are not many of those and they don't come on typical ebikes).

If it was the battery it probably wouldn't turn on at all.

The motor shouldn't be hurt by doing this sort of thing.

Does the bike operate at all, or only give the error code and not respond to any control inputs?

Regarding amazon, unfortunately they let sellers completely change the item being sold under an particular ASIN, without even resetting the page. So you end up with a page that's been there for years for one product with great reviews, sales, etc., then they change it to a crappy or unknown product (that can be a totally different thing, not even in the same category), that appears to be a great thing if you just look at the stars...but if you read the reviews (especially if they have pics) you find they are for something completely different than what's there now...and some pages have changed products multiple times, based on the review content. :(

So...when buying something online (from any website, anywhere) I recommend saving a local copy of the webpage, at least by screenshotting it, on every part of the page including any images they show, and any separate "tabs" it has (like some places have "specifications" and "product info" and "FAQ", all as separate things you can't see all at the same time, so you have to screenshot them all separately). Then you at least have the original information about something, if you ever need it in the future (such as a dispute with the seller, or like now needing info for troubleshooting/etc).
