This is my first post here on Endless Sphere. I am having some issues with my ebike. The bike was assembled by a manufacturer in China and I took the rear wheel out for some maintenance. I noticed that the rear axle from the Bafang motor has chewed up the rear drop-out of the frame from only 200km of riding.
The frame is an AL6061 frame with the usual Chinese-style dropouts. When I was reassembling the frame, I noticed the rear frame squeezes in and the rear axle struggles to tighten. What ends up happening is that the wheel axle starts to sit lower inside the dropout and eventually "walks-out" on me, preventing me to tighten the rear wheel back onto the frame.
It seems as if I need a torque arm to help keep the axle straight. But I cannot find anything locally.
