Tentative build. Surly Krampus BBSHD

Hello all.
Thought I'd tap into the groups collective Surly knowledge. I'm looking at a 2017 Krampus with a 73mm threaded BB.this eliminates any PF adapter issues but the questions I have are as follows.

If you have built a Krampus BBSHD, what size did you choose? The 73mm Or 100mm bb length. I ask because one fellow used 100mm because of the chainstay width. But he needed a good number of spacers.

I've read that surlys aren't the easiest bikes to convert but I love the chromoly frame and the 3.0 tires. Looking for input.

I plan on using a em3ev kit and their batteries too in a frame bag. I've heard great reviews of them but I haven't had a single email get returned to me yet. Seems unlike others experiences so far.
