Freewheel problems

So I'm building my first ebike from a boardman mtx 8.6 hybrid and I never really thought it through very well.

So, the original 9 speed cassette wouldn't fit the hub so I bought a 9 speed freewheel thinking it'll fit nicely which it did but unfortunately it doesn't give any room for the hub to rotate as the freewheel is now rubbing on the frame.

Can I simply get an 8 speed freewheel or maybe remove 1 cog from the 9 speed freewheel to make some room?

I really hope I don't have to change the entire shifter and chain to accommodate a smaller freewheel?

Thanks for any help!

Yeah I had a feeling after I installed the freewheel.

Sure: SUNRACE 9 SPEED INDEX 13 - 32 FREEWHEEL BLOCK SCREW ON CASSETTE MTB BIKE MFE909 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01G709BQA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KtOADb1Y5BAPN

I use a 7 speed. Is there enough room to add washers on the axle to keep it from rubbing on the frame? You can spread the dropouts a little.

I was actually asking for a link to the hub/motor, not the freewheel.

Oh sorry lol. It's direct from China so no make/model as such. You want measurements?

I'm gonna try some washers tomorrow but really don't wanna stress the dropouts more than 1-2mm
