I wanted to be able yo use 2 different types of batteries.
Reention DP-6 (70 cells) and for the longer trips a DP-9 (91 cells)
They share the same batterymount.

But it was obvious that the DP-9 wouldn't clear the damper.
So I got creative with the heat gun :)

My dream build! Fantastic job!

How much was the frame? Ive been looking on aliexpress and pretty much settled on this frame.

I like what you did with the battery box, i might have to do that as well if I get this frame.

Frame was 350USD + 250USD shipping (to Belgium)
I ordered 2 for the same shipping price:
700USD+250USD = 950USD and sold 1 after they arrived.
So it costed me 475USD

Cheers, I reached out to them, though their minimum order seems to be 50pcs.

How much was the bafang drive?

I could order 1 piece if I wanted, no problem.

My motors I get from CNEbikes (695USD delivered).
The Innotrace upgrade is around 390€ for 2500W and 440€ for 3500W

Oh what a build. I was hoping to get a fatbike to get me through winter, but they are unavailable or outrageously expensive (because everynoe decided to do the same thing), so here I am wondering if I shouldn't take on an emtb as a winter project ... and what you've done is exactly what I had in mind.

Ooohh ...
Thanks daxxie for the info.

It's exactly that I wan to do in my next enduro project.

But let me ask some doubts.

Whats it's the stroke of the rear suspension? 150mm 160mm ?

It's a boost frame? That means the rear dropout it's 12x148mm thru Axle?

It can hold a 27.5x3 wheel ?

And you say the frame cost 350usd + 250usd with shipment to Belgium. that it's with the taxes VAT and other stuff of customs included? Or do you pay separately?

Regards,

Enric

Officialy it has 144mm rear travel if you use a 190/51mm damper.
But by installing a 200/57 damper you will get 160mm.

Friday I changed the air springs on the front shock. They are now 160mm also.

Yes, boost.
Well some say a 3.0 fits.
But I know someone who told me his 3.0 was preventing him from shifting in the lowes gear.
So it will be tight!

Taxes and everything included.

Very thatnks for the usefull info.
I'm going to make something similar.
Thanks

Any experience with X1 Tool programming (Innotrace, Wattwagon)-Daxxie, Tom, Barbarosa?
Pushkar´s setting (from Wattwagon): in video (no longer available) was recommended:
-all parameters (torque, throttle, sensitivity, speed torque, speed throttle, motor torque) to max (100%) except for the sensitivity, which copies the level of assistance (this is, how I got the controller from Innotrace).
- at high power motor (current over 30A) reduce the throttle to 40-50%

I have set my controller from Innotrace to 1000W nominal (1500W peak) -it means controller max. 28 A in X1Tool.
Assistance of the motor in the original setting from Innotrace on the 1st level was during intensive pedal engagement - too high (300-400W according to the 860C display). Sensitivity on this level is also 1, others parameters to max. It is Pushkar´s setting.
Furthermore, the motor only engaged when there was more pressure on the pedal.
After several tests, I am having now the parameters set as follows-table:(if it succeds to paste?)
This already better corresponds to the maximum motor power input for 9 display levels of assistance: 15-20-30-40-50-60-80-100%

View attachment Innottrace X1 Tool..odt

I can not paste my setting, so I try only to describe it.
Setting of parameters (from 1 to 9 level):
Torque on 10-15-20-30-40-50-60-80-100 %
Throttle on 50% (levels 1-5) and 100% (levels 6-9)
Sensitivity on 1-1-2-2-3-3-4-4-5
Speed torque-all 100 km/h
Speed throttle-all 100 km/h
Motor torque-all 5
Later I plan to use 1. assistance level, which I use only seldom, for "EU setting", so max 25 km/hod and without throttle and weak power-so:
Torque stays on 10 % -only 150W max
Throttle on 0%
Sensitivity on 1
Speed torque-25km/h
Speed throttle-0 km/h
Motor torque- 5

The motor on this emtb had the same settings. Only sensitivity changes per level and that seems to work very well.
Then I upgraded to the X1 display which only has 5 modes. So I changed the steps between the sensitivity levels a bit.
Its a small display with small buttons but you should get one! It has the "Auto EU" function mode built in!

Daxxie:What is your motor power (W) on the 1.st assistance level? It has to be very high for your high power setting. Maybe X1 display has not any power reading? I estimate capacity of the battery according voltage on my display, which is more accurate for me, than capacity in %. How is it on X1-display (voltage, capacity in %)?

My fatbike is still going strong https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=96212
But it was time to build a new bike

Got this Seroxat frame from Salto bikes http://www.salto-bike.com/ecp_view.asp?id=653

19inchframe.jpg

IMG_0444.jpg

This frame is meant to fit a "smaller batterycase designed for 14S4P cells which is not for my powerplant.
So had to cut the frame a bit to make room for a 14S5P or even 14S6P

Reention DP-6 case that can hold up to 70 cells.

Took it apart to have it powdercoated

Which rivets did you use aluminum or stainless steel?
Because of oxidation?

Hi ,
great build , like the grey colour , looks good. I am building the same sort bike , with a similar parts.

two questions ....

1. where did you get this little rubber boot or spacer piece ? circled below in Red ..

2, for the rear shock , did you need any special spacers" top hats" , top and bottom.

I order my frame off alibaba , back in november and , i am still awaiting its arrival, here in the UK. Its coming on that legendary slow boat from china.
