I have an old Hadi Teherani eBike that i'm going to upgrade.

Original motor is a ??w 36V brushed direct drive motor, but the controller is (as I can see) limited to 180W - so not quite powerfull..

I'm replacing the motor with a generic'ish 36V 250W hub motor, the controller will be a KT 15A controller (right now I'm using one without hall sensors, and not a Sine controller). Battery will be a custom made 21700 48V pack made in a 3d printed "Duracell" battery. I'm trying to build is a stealth as ever possible - but since it is an old frame not many options to route the cables inside the tubes :/

Trying to make as stealth as possible yet 3d print a Duracell battery case.
Love it!

I've had an idea for some time of making a bigger then usual water bottle (2L [0.5G]) and stuffing as many Wh in it as I can.

You dont want a frame with holes in it for cable routing as those holes are a weak point and thats more so if your hanging a battery off the top tube, or your a heavy rider.

Is that copex as chain guard or an available product not seen that before ? :thumb:

I like the Duracell battery case. Did you print it yourself or are they available to purchase somewhere?

The model is available on thingiverse - however I made a ned bottom cap with an XT60 in it. Currently designing a “bottle holder” also with an XT60 - so I can just remove the “Duracell” battery from the bike. :) The model needs some scaling though - I’m trying to fit a 13s3 made of 21700 cells and a BMS inside it.

I have no idea of what it is called - it’s just a flexible plastic “hose” - but I do not recommend it, it collects water like a sponge..

Hi! I bought this bike couple months ago in Berlin and now my bike's motor controller is stolen.
This controller has an unusual 12-pin plug. I couldn't find the exact type of the controller.

Dear PeterpDahl, could you suggest:
  • will I be able to rewire a generic motor controller like this - https://www.amazon.de ... /Brushless-Controller-Aluminium-Electric-Bicycle - and use it instead the original one
  • I read somewhere that the original motorwheel has a brushed motor inside. Should I search for a controller that was specifically built for brushed motors?
  • or is there a chance to find the exact type of the controller for my bike?

The OP mentioned it's a brushed motor in the first post. If it's a brushed motor, you need a brushed motor controller.
