Your photos are so awfully dark and blurry. If you want better ones, take them outside in daylight.

I cannot tell what you are trying to show, except that maybe you have the rear wheel on the bike and the controller on the frame? Good. Keep working!

Tip. Don't let your shadow block your pictures.

You're not using the kit brake levers with the electric brake cutouts? Those are handy for shutting off the motor, like if the pedal assist has started up.

Want a better controller mount? Go to home depot and pick up some copper pipe brackets. About 50 cents. They're actually steel with copper plate. You might have to reshape and put in new drill holes, but they're easy to work. I painted these black later.

Yeah i will take a better pic tomorrow when i mount the rack on (and place battery on for show until i can work out how to mount the wires (im going to probably have to strip and crimp the wires)

I will probally use them but the reason i dont now is cause i only plan on going at most 15mph (more if im in a hurry but doubt it (and i dont plan on stopping on the dime) but its so hard to get these things on and off)

As far as controller mount i kind of like it where it is at i dont like the wires all right there so im contemplating the idea of taking a bag and bounding them in a bag or something as thats a lot of exposed wires.

Totally off topic, but for docw009, your brake pads are on backwards... when pads have the off center post design, the long part goes to the back (99% of the time anyway... theres a couple of oddball exceptions). They're usually curved to match the rim, which means to fix it you swap them left/right.

Back on topic... bagging the wires can work, but is hard to totally seal, so you have to be careful you don't trap water in the bag if you're in a rainy area. Also the three main motor wires (the phase wires) can get hot as resistance builds in the generic bullet connectors most kits come with, so watch out for stuffing them in where its hard to inspect, and don't have them right against each other where they melt together.
Both of those have left me stranded at different times fyi,,

Also the brake cutoffs (or a bar mounted kill switch) can get important if your throttle ever shorts out and jumps the bike to full power suddenly in traffic, making you hold the brake desperately with one hand as you grope for wires to yank out under your butt with the other as you scream towards a busy intersection. Another personal ebike moment... and I was glad I had given up covering the wires too much right then!

Good catch. Old photo. Those pads were over 30 years old at the time. I did change them, but thought that the friction in the rusty cable housing and the lower leverage on the e-brake levers warranted a change to new cables and v-brakes, which work so much better.
