I have been reading endless sphere for the last 3-4 years dreaming of buying or building an electric bike. I now own two Vintage Electric Teacker’s. I have always been surprised to see the lack of interest and post about these great bikes. I have fully customized one of the trackers replacing or painting every part except the frame. I have owned the bike for a year and enjoy riding as much as I can.
There are plenty of posts about the price for the bikes. You are paying for their frame, a small boutique US brand, and r&d over the years. You can buy the motor controller and build a battery for ~$1500 but you can’t find a frame like this one. And you still need all of the other parts and assemble everything. Shout out to FUTR though for making a great option. (I still want to build one of these)
I hope to find some other owners out there and share tips and information. Also anyone looking to get one of these bikes, let me know if you have any questions.

Maybe you should attach pics of your bikes, modifications, etc. to your post.

That way we might have some idea what you've got, why you like them, etc.

Couldn’t figure out an easy way to resize them at first. From almost complete to when I bought it used. Last thing on my list is new brakes and then I will post a nice finished picture

Thank you! I really want to start modifying the electronics next. The bike is equipped with an ASI 800 controller running 52v. I am thinking about using a grin and stuffing a larger battery in there. The newest models have been knocked down to 48v pushing higher amps to achieve the power. Vintage electric says this gives far better efficiency. This would be my first battery build so I am a little hesitant. Has anyone ran the MT5E brakes?
