Disclaimer: Not sure what connectors they use, and not sure of your definition of weatherproof, but....
I have successfully used Silicone grease in connectors "under the hood" in an engine compartment. You can use regular grease, but it has a tendency to dry out and get thick and hard over time. Silicone grease (the clear grease, not heatsink compound) has good electrical properties and keeps moisture and corrosive gases out.
