This is a good explanation of the Pros & Cons of Al/Air batteries
It explains the chemistry, how they are constructed, their theoretical advantages (8 kWh per kg ! ), and their practical limitations ( 1.2 kWh/kg ) and how a 140kg battery can give 1000km range with a 90 sec “recharge” using a 40kg cassett swap.
...however lots of side issues to be considered.
Also remember..these are PRIMARY cells , effectively a fuel cell using solid aluminium rather than H2,...
..so, NOT RECHARGEABLE. !
Worth watching..

Aluminium Air has been interesting and would like to play with it. Recharging lol need to remake the Aluminium. Now if they make the Aluminium just for the purpose of batteries (a lot of surface area) that would be a plus. I stopped when you need to collect the by product (aluminum hydroxide) and recycle it.
