Or any electric zero turn mower in general? I think this is a fascinating machine, and I'm interested in building something similar. I have an older ztr with worn out drive system and it would be awesome to rebuild it with electric drive and deck motors powered by a lithum pack (Chevy volt maybe).
The difficult part will be the control electronics. What kind of motors and controller(s) would be suitable for the drive wheels? I wonder how ryobi is doing it? There will be a lot of vibration and a lot of dust so I need to find something that can handle the conditions. Anyway, if anyone is familiar with these machines and can offer advice I'd appreciate it!
