26x26x26cm welded 1/16th inch thick aluminium box, mounting bracket, one corner was modified then the project stopped before the lid was modified, $ 75

Aluminium melts like butter in a lithium fire.

Is this something you have imagined/heard from some guy, or something you've seen? Aluminum carries away a lot of heat. It takes a higher power torch to weld aluminum than to weld steel. Aluminum melts at about 1000F, but it soaks up huge amounts of heat to get there.

Thats the Rest from the whole battery.

Aluminium melts at ~650°c already.
Lithium fires are way above 1000°c.
