E-bike + carbon frame + 52V. 18650 + BMC motor

That looks incredible Luis, like it was built that way originally. I love how meticulous your work is. Great job.

Hi guys,

Wolfeman, thanks. I'm glad you like.
There is a sneak peak, of the wheel assemble in the bike.

Luís.

Amazing work, the dropouts look like they will be bulletproof, very nice looking build, I could certainly learn a thing or two.

Hi guys,

ninepointeight, thanks men. The secret is...not to stress.
the12be, thanks. You give a very important contribution on this build.

Waiting on a single speed freewheel, and some M16 straight nuts for definitely mount my rear wheel. Orderer a tensioner an chain, but I can install that with the wheel in place. Just taking care on small details.

Luís.

This is awesome, lessions in how to build proper ebike,
how are u attaching batt box to frame, sorry im inpatient

Hello guys,

Jimboyr6, thanks for your words. Always appreciated.
I will use 4, M4 screws, attached 2 on top tube and 2 on down tube. On the inside of the box, I will use a steel plate, between the screw and the battery box, to reinforce.
I already have the tool, to install the rive-nuts...in the meanwhile, I started another "fun" project.

Take care,
Luís.

This build is so cool. I love how the battery box is coming together. Like Jim said, this build is like a "How To" on how to put together a high end DD hub motor build. Can't wait to see how this turns out. :D

Hello guys,

Wolfeman, thanks men. This is my second build, so, its more easy.
When I start to look for e-bikes, back in 2010 I find a build here, from joeFR, and is beautiful e-bike build. That was my inspiration, and I love is build. He take some nice pictures and made some nice videos.
Now, I try to do the same. Take some pictures, try to document everything, to help somebody...

The work on the small details continues...

Luís

Hello guys,

The new free-wheel, arrive today. I need to take the wheel out, so, I change the screws, in the dropouts, to black color...nothing much significant, but looks better.
I take the measure, and buy the chain... the transmission part, is almost over.

Luís.

Small change but makes abig difference, all matches nice with the black.

Hello guys,

Jimboyr6, yes...small things make the difference. :)

That's what I have been doing...small things....drilling the frame to attach the battery box. Make a way to attach the side panels. "Pimping" my controller and wires....small things...

Luís.

That's going to be great when you get it done. I've used that braided wire sheathing with good results before. Also nice for servicing later if you need to pull a wire in or out.

Hello guys,

fechter, thanks. On my first project I used to, that's why I will use it again.
Not done much work, because 4 weeks ago, someone enter in my garage and stole my Scott pedal bike. I already buy another one, but I was distracted by that.
In the mean time, and after some consideration I will use "lipos" again. This time some "multistars". They already arrive, but one off the batteries have 60 millivolts difference between cells. I think its to much, and decide to return that one, and buy another.
The plan is, in the future opted for 18650 cells...but to start rolling i use "lipos".

Take care,
Luís.
