Guys we are vorking on a new frame design. It is going to be a mid drive that can work with hubmotor or 4-5k rpm motor. With linkage suspension, and removable battery. It will be designed for around 10kw power and will have right geometry. We want to make it with pedals (you can remove them if you dont need them), and bicycle seat (moto seat will be as option) to make it look as a bicycle to avoid maximum attention :) What do you think? any advises or ideas?

Number one priority should be durability and quality.
Number two, easy and cheap/affordable to produce.
This of course always is a compromise.

If you have a good base, then with options you can go nuts.
If you go for Scramblers options you would definitely have a good ebike, but no one would buy it because it is far to expensive.

I think it would be great if you could customize it completely with specs as desired.
If someone really wants a 3kwh battery, it doesn't mean they also need front suspension of $3000,- and the other way around.

The options that should be customizable according to me:
- Motor (power type)
- Battery
- Suspension options
- Paddle options
- Twist or thumb throttle
- Brake disc/handle/caliper options
- Thumb brake or button brake
- Motor seat or bicycle seat
- Motor wheel or bicycle wheel
- With or without dust protection
- With or without lights
- With or without stand
- Etc

If you could manage to make all options available in your webshop, someone can decide for him/herself to buy a complete bike, or only some of the parts.

This able to be flipped to lower the suspension? Also the DNM forks are they fixed at a set air pressure, or able to vary the air pressure to push the handle bars higher from the ground?

Problem is my butt slides forward at low speed.

Taken this Sunday, glad I stopped traffic police were sitting in a car couple hundred metres to the right :)

First ride with the motoseat.

Hey man, nice ride. You mind if I ask where you got the seat? thanks!

Thanks man, I appreciate it! How do you like it? Is it comfortable? I'm not even sure it would fit the frame I'm getting since it's the other version chinese bomber frame. I was looking at the one CAB Motorworks sells, but their prices are ridiculous, almost $500. I could 3 Kevlar seats for my KTM for that much!

Hi Artur

Nice we can post our idea's / wishes here. I don't know how far is your progress with the new Typhoon frame.

But the mid drive option is really nice. Probably a QS mid drive motor might not fit, because they are kind of too width.

I see the problem with stealthy look and a power drive within the power transmission. A bike chain is too weak, but necessary to be a bike. So the rear hub might be a custom version, to be fitted with bike cassette and on the other side with a stronger and larger sprocket. To be stealthy, the drivetrain and it's large chain should be little covered.

It would be nice to use as much "off the shelf parts" as possible.
I prefere, by far, a watherproof battery box rather easy removable battery.

Best regards
Marc

Hey Artur ,

Any Improvements yet to your Storm Frame , like ...

1) Much more Slack Head Tube Angle . ( 60 degrees or even slacker )

2) Ability to put in batteries each ride , in the side of main frame ( not through the bottom )

3) A swing arm more like the Storm Frame, long enough for 29 er + wheels and tires .

4 ) Modular Rear Drop outs on the swing arm so a number of different types of axles can be used .

???

Here look how Banshee makes the modular axle plates on each of the swing arm on their Darkside Bike .

Are there any pros and cons to using a 240mm rear shock on the vector light frame I'm looking to buy.

thanks for any help

a longer rear shock will steepen the steering head angle, or a shorter rear shock will slack the steering head angle.. you can also adjust the bike geometry with a shorter or longer travel suspension fork and by wheel diameter.. example longer rear shock than typical stock length will make the steering more twitchy, nervous.. unless matched with a long travel front fork..

vectors 43,5 AH battery at 84v with a new BMS 300amps ( i burned the old one of 150amps   )
and now without any ca v3 DP ( i burned out 3 of them :x )

thanks
Panos S

may I ask why did you post it here? frime is not from Vector.

Rear shock spring and lenth choice , can anyone help choose the right spring type for the vector light frame . and dnm shock
im about 130kg and my batt pack is around 5kg . and i was thinking about a 220mm- 240mm but am not sure on the advatages on using a longer spring or will mess up my ability to adjust bike geometry witha 240mm shock
thanks for any help

For this ...
https://www.gngebike.com/gng-2019-3000w ?
and
This ... https://www.cycmotor.com/x1-pro-gen-2 ?

With rear dropouts like this ? ... https://www.bansheebikes.com/darkside

So that we can get different dropout plates for the different type of axles . 12 x 142 mm , 12 x 148 mm , etc. , as well as dropout plates for a hub motor should we want to be able to use either on the new frame .

afaik you can use the QS 205 V3 hub motor easily. The dropout width is only for the different rim / wheel sizes. In case you want to have a fat bike tire or not for example.

thanks , i was looking at the 205 , but i found a mxus 3k in 24" rim for a good price should be more than enough power for my needs
thanks for the reply :}

Keep it simple. Buy a Vector

@Malice the frame is fine i brought it from vector . make sure you get the frame first before getting a battery unlike me I made my battery first while I waiting on the frame, so I had to mod the frame to get it to fit
the way the swing arm connects to the main body could be better thought out IMO as it takes up a lot of space I'm using 22650 cells so prob my bad if you buy the frame you will know what I'm talking about, overall I'm happy with it, don't think there is better for the price,

if you google vector storm you will find more pics of the frame

Hi Guys
