I have new video

The car is now finished and ready for technical inspection.

Here is first test drive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2A9H75S6DY

I have little problem with RPM , when I press throttle pedal , more then 10 kw of power RPM goes dow. Zilla has his own RPM sensor wich I mounted on front motor axes.

I have shilded cable , connect to GND , wire is far away from motor , but signal is still missing at higher current. Controller is sending 12V 2 pulses per revolution to Arduino (devided with optocupler) wich is converting to 58/60 teeth to ECU cranckshaft signal input. Everything else is wrking fine .

Very tidy job! Well done. :thumb:
What sort of range can you expect? I'm guessing around 150 km?

Car is officially approved by the croatian association for technical inspection and got custom licence plate

Fantastic conversion. Everything looks clean and well done. I love that you kept the car looking original. I hope you get many happy kilometers of your your build, enjoy!

What was the reaction of the workers at the croatian association for technical inspection when you brought it there?

That would have made a good video.

They weren't extra surprised or curious like other normal people , that's my impression. They were more "officionaly".
When I sent them papers to see if is everything allright . They didn't even looked it because of so much demand ...
I called next day to ask if they looked.. When I mention that I have Tesla batteries, then they were curios and checked quickly..

I understand it is quite difficult to get converted EVs through licensing inspections in Europe? I wonder why the conversion scene is so much smaller than in the USA or Australia and New Zealand.

In Austria there is one TÜV inspection site per state, I happen to live like 10 minutes away from one and asked once about converting a car.
They just looked at me funny and said they have no clue and it's probably too much of a hassle for all of us.
It seems to me like they are really old fashioned, same in the German forums they always tell you just to buy an EV.

Though I have met some people who convert cars in Vienna and higher up in the states, a guy told me he can get it road legal for me for 600€ :?
600€ is a bit much especially for cheap motorcycles and ATVs that I wanted to convert at the time.
