Hi guys..space is very tight in my triangle space of my eeb frame with all the wiring..bms and battery packs. I also have 2 x step down voltage units. They arent that big but would removing them from their casings and wrapping them be a bad idea? Trying to free up space here and there but not if its gonna be too risky.
I have 2 of them coz i have them wired to a bunch of different 12V accessories etc.
Thanks!!!
This sounds dangerous....or can it done safely?
Re: This sounds dangerous....or can it done safely?
Do you know how warm they get when in use? Aluminum housings for components like that are usually heat sinks. If you take away the heat sinks, you'll have to give the waste heat another way out. But if they don't get very warm in operation, it might not be a problem.
This is to express my gratitude to Justin of Grin Technologies for his extraordinary measures to save this forum for the benefit of all.
