Just depends on how worn you cassette is. I will always recommend a all steel cassette for a mid drive motor, can take more power and last longer for not much extra weight. A while back I upgraded my hub on my bbshd bike and I had no issues with any skipping before hand and a visual inspection...
Honestly these sounds really crazy to me, not do discount your own experiences but I also own a bbshd with the ludi v2 and it puts out an ungodly amount of torque. According to the grin simulator roughly 420nm of torque at the crank. Assuming a 40t to 20t that's still 210nm going into these...
I believe it's a 52v battery (aka 14s) can you confirm this is the model number on the battery? 零部件 (Edit I'm not sure why the link is turning Chinese but its a link to bafangs site, the model number being BT F23.720.C ) You can also look at the charger and see if it states the output voltage...
Emtbforums has more info on this. Requires a bluetooth 5.1 display which isn't common for bafang most being 5.0 and don't work. I've also seen reports of it still not working with latest phone updates. This thread has some info but I've also seen people talk about the app in build threads...
Yes I've kept up with that open source firmware, from what I've heard it's very good and worth the try for users on the stock controller. I was planning on giving it a try but later that year I got my hands on a aftermarket controller for my bbshd with more power. Thanks for trying to let me...
I had this exact thought, EU allows peaks higher than 250w it's just the motors cont wattage rating has to be under 250w. I honestly don't think a single ebike on the road right now doesn't peak above 250w. And it doesn't seem they have a limit on peak power so why test it. A 250w rated motor...
If you've got Facebook there is a few groups dedicated to the bafang mid drive or bbshd that I've seen people do exactly what you want to do. "Bafang Mid-drive eBike Builds" Specifically "Chris Triplett" in there seems willing to help with his settings and setup. You could also try hitting this...
Some discussion starts around 21:00
TDLR: Johnny tested the M635 out with a non-smile battery. Overall he didn't feel the torque sensor feel was that good, and even said he couldn't even really tell if it was working stating it just felt like a cadence sensor. He did film a video which he said...
Well we do know it will be canbus but bafang has been pushing bluetooth displays and apps with their other new m series motors, I wouldn't be surprised if they allow you to access a lot of the familiar settings in one of those apps
For anyone still waiting JohnnyNerdOut still says his motors are still a few weeks out but he believes he will have a review video on the m635 possibly in a week
At the top of this thread the spec's were posted, looks like a m625 but with torque sensor, and the m625 was basically just a bbshd with CAN. For anyone interested here's the livestream where the motor was bench tested, skip to 33:45 minutes in :
As for alibaba you might be able to contact...
There's a supplier on Alibaba if you want one right now, I know JohnnyNerdOut in the USA has spoken on his livestream that his shop should have them in two weeks, not sure if they ship to Australia though
