    DD alternative to mac

Thank you for your suggestions. After playing a bit with the simulator, the RH212 seems indeed to be the closest to the mac motor: Grade 0% - Throttle 100% Grade 10% - Throttle 85% Other motors deviate more and more (Grade 10% - Throttle 85%): Crystalyte H3540 Leaf 35mm 5T Grinv V2 FST Not...

    DD alternative to mac

The motor is fine on the other bike, i suspect something changed in the controller (or I was much more patient setting it up back when I assembled this bike) but can't figure what. Frustration accumulated indeed but I'd like to give this controller a chance to be useful again... Well I must...

    DD alternative to mac

Hi, thank you so much for your help on this. Unfortunately I ran out of logic with this second bike... I got tired of changing parameters/cables etc... It used to work better with the other mac motor but not anymore. It has the first version of phaserunner while the other bike is a V2. I tried...

    DD alternative to mac

Hi, Sorry for this once again 'what motor' thread but I could not find a message answering my questions. I have 2 ebikes with phaserunner controllers and mac motors. The first one is rock solid, never had a problem configuring it and changing PR parameters, although the initial configuration...

    controller for a MAC

Final update: I bought another Phaserunner and I'll live with the 96A phase current limit (soft start). It is compact, versatile, easy to use, and powerful enough for small builds. Now I'll have some time to think about building my Lebowski's controller or try adapting VESC ones for future...

    ebrake HWBS and throttle connection

Hi all, for my next build, I plan not to use a cycle analyst, but a simple throttle connected to the controller (phaserunner). However, in case water gets in my cheap throttle (or any other stupid thing) I'd like to integrate a HWBS sensor on my brakes (as an extra safety to fault voltage...

    VESC for ebike ?

Hello all, I have been looking around for the perfect controller and I am more and more interested about VESC project. The 'only' problem is to switch it from skateboard power levels to something more adapted for ebike use. I LOVE Marcos project and other members using IGBTs etc, but it's way...

    controller for a MAC

PV is not FOC and does not have torque/current throttle. This is why it has been excluded from comparison list, but it still looks like a nice and affordable controller. People asked him so often whether his controller can run a mac motor that I think he would hate me for that

    controller for a MAC

Thank you for your feedback Izeman, that lebowski idea is making its way. Love the smd version of the PCB also. As lazy as I am, I wish somebody will start providing kits for it (or assembled ones like it happened for VESC). For this build I will need something that requires less assembling...

ASI Acclerated Systems controllers BAC2000 review

Wow thanks for the feedback ElectricGod. I also noticed the (available) documentation does look sparse (eg. couldn't find how cruise control is supposed to be setup but it looks like there is an input for that). One surprising thing is that you cannot access documentation before being a...

    controller for a MAC

Hello Lebowski, thank you for the suggestion. I read threads about your controller and this is definitely something I would like to support and try... Great job BTW :) Your controller seems like the ideal one but I will need something more plug and play for this build. I know some basic...

    controller for a MAC

After sending more emails, no answer from Sabvoton but their distributor "QS Motor" kindly answered my question. He confirmed that Sabvoton SSC 72150 is limited to 30000erpm. In conclusion the sabvoton will not work for this configuration with a mac motor.

    controller for a MAC

I take advantage of this thread to look for the perfect controller for my next ebike (Mac Motor 8T, 14s 30A 18650 battery). My first ebike has a phaserunner controller which works perfectly with the same motor, but I would like to get something a bit more punchy when starting (96 phase Amp...

    Mobipus Controllers

Sounds like a great piece of controller ! I couldn't find in the manual the max erpm that can be managed. Anyone has this information ?

    controller for a MAC

Just an update regarding my previous answer, Kelly controller is probably NOT a good option for MAC motors. First, I was about to buy a sabvoton and realized the max erpm might not be enough (30000 ? to be confirmed) so I read the 20 pages about kelly FOC controllers because they claimed...
