Hi,
Does anyone tried or did this with a kelly controller?
I need to put a propeller on a certain position after use in midflight.
So i need to make it a full stop. Regen braking will make it run slower but not a complete stop.
Any idea how to do that ?

Hi,
I am interested on that motor for another project.
Can you tell me the magnets and stator sizes?
I will run a ansys simulation to see if fits to my needs.
Building that here is more expensive than buying directly to the chinese but i have to be sure that will work first.

Hi everyone.
I am from Argentina and bought 600 samsung 40T cells from them.
We went trough all the importation process to a third world country and they were incredible patience.
Cells are Legit.
Great experience that i would love to repeat when i use them all.

Hi everyone.
I just checked the kelly controllers page and noticed that some models where not shown.
My actual designs requires 120V, 30kW peak and 20kW continuous for aero application.
After asking them by email they responded:
We do not sell any KHB square waveform controllers any more.
We...
The most important thing that you can do with that is to see if you can weld the nickel strip to copper plate or busbar.
With that kind of equipment you can make a great leap in battery quality.
For welding the strip to the cell you can use any of the opensource spotwelders without much problems.
Hi,
Does anyone knows how to weld busbars to nickel strip?
The battery is a 14S20P (300A). The parallel connections will be with nickel strip and i want to make the series connection with the bus bars.
Any advice on bus bat type, material, welding technique?
Thanks in advance
Thank you very much!
This model powers the main board directly with 220v or 110v, no secondary winding besides the one used for spot welding.
Thanks again!
Hi,
I've received the sunkko 709 110v in a 220v country. It burned when I plugged into the wall. Your modification on the transformer will change the voltage of the spot weld only, the main board will still be a 220v feeded with 110v. In my case it seems that the 110v board didn't handled the...
Good decision to make it work with a regular propeller
Where you will place the battery pack?
My project is a kit for making almost any sailplane self launcher. In my prototype the batteries will go on the wings, near the leading edge. So i need a custom made battery pack that i will build myself.
Nice project!
I would stick to low voltages, there is more options on controllers and motors.
You already have the feathering propeller?
Yes, it sucks to have 300amps at full power, but it is very doable.
A 28S30P of samsung 25R would be a nice and safe pack. You can draw 60kW peak with cell...
Sorry,
I was looking for a more general answer of options at that power output and then see the specs by my own.
Its a BLDC with 40 magnets, 36 slots, 4 windings per slot, Delta configuration.
Other features? The more programable the best.

Hello,
Which controller you recommend for a 30kW 40 magnets and 4500rpm motor?
We had a problem with the mgm compro that we bought and the after sales of that company are a nightmare.
