Hey, Bob! I haven't been on here in quite a while. Getting ready to offer up my eBike collection to the public. Making a move soon and need to convert product-to-cash, for the move. Cheers! Don
I'm about to use a word I've learned to hate, but here it goes................ AWESOME! Seriously, this is a problem solver for many of us. Thanks for sharing an effective, yet simple way to make professional looking DIY parts. Brilliant!
Me too, meelis. Hows it working? My kit is now in a box after it's third bicycle. Kit needs my LR adjustable sheets installed because the factory ones are warped near the point of interference. This is probably due to the extreme torque loads I subjected it to while trail riding my fat butt...
Excellent entry level eBike. With over 6000 miles, I would say this is an good candidate to crowd fund. The last time I looked at Alibaba it appeared that most of their bikes could be optioned up to higher specifications as desired. You just have to buy 100 bikes or more to get the cut rate...
At least they won't have to dedicate assembly to a new factory. Alibaba's supplier already has that covered. How many bikes can you get in one of those shipping containers and what does it cost to ship a container from China to the west coast.
This Indiegogo crowd funding is very interesting...
Looks like this thread died, just like the Aerobic Cruiser. I never got a chance to ride one (I live in Memphis but wasn't willing to pay the substantial sum required for a test ride) but I really like the design.
Why did it fail?
Timing is one reason: It would have had a better chance...
This bike should have been successful. The Aerobic Cruiser shop was located 300 yards or so from the GreenLine. Excellent location for bikes but the shop only carried the Cruisers. There was nothing to attract the average cyclist, not even a flat repair service. I don't believe they had ANY...
I've been gone WAY too long! Was distracted with motorcycles and regular bicycles for a long while.
Nice work Dr. Bass. Can't wait to see the two wheel version. That NYX is smoken hot cool!
Good work! I put my GNG on the back burner while you guys figured out how to correct the inherent problems associated with this kit. I LOVE the design but hate the execution. With my LightenRods sheets and a little "mod" work I may have this project back in the running before too long...
Cool. That bike is fast. Looking forward to seeing the "Dual Power" Fatbike in action. Always thought a gas/electric hybrid would be a fun project. Bike on!
