A little more detail, drawing current (amps) from a lithium ion battery near it's rated capacity stresses the it, reducing overall cycle life. Staying a bit under capacity will extend the life of the pack. With electric motors, power is correlated with current. Avoiding 100% full charge also...

I have a Dualtron Thunder with the EYE3 throttle / instrument display. I really really really don't like the index finger throttle, and find it unsafe (any time the scooter start to "get away" from you it causes the throttle to pull, making the problem worse). I'd prefer a thumb or twist-handle...
