I have been using one of these meters on a daily basis for almost a year now. As can be seen from the photos,this meter does not age well at all.All the markings all but faded away! :shock: The plastic surround inside the -Ve socket somehow broke but I guess that was me being heavy handed :)...

Had a similar issue with my euro too,turned out to be the throttle.Not sure where you are but Frank Curran @ http://www.powabyke.com in the UK knows these bikes inside out and they stock most spares for this model.

The problem with using an off the shelf controller is how to hook up the stock pedelec torque sensor???... its sealed and has 4 wires coming out.Here is a pic of the sensor ...
A buddy of mine has a batch of no-name e-bikes with broken controllers.Can anyone ID them and point to a suitable replacement?.The bikes have no twist grip speed control,just a pedelec sensor in the bottom bracket..This has a 4 wire connector btw.

Got one of these beasts! Must be at least 10 years odd old... Came with 3 bulged SLAs that where well past their use-by- date. Still,the batteries they had enough oomph to get me well impressed about this electric-bike malarkey. :P .When I first got it, it was a horrible ride...juddered like...
