I know this, but what could have happened while disconnecting or connecting the battery? The short circuit that damaged the controller? Since the controller responds to STLink, it should be operational. The problem has been described several times on this forum, but I haven't found a solution...

I have the same problem. After disconnecting the battery for charging and reconnecting it, the display shows e: brakes. I checked the higo 8pin cable with a multimeter, verified the display-cable connections. I'm using SW102. Today I will connect VLCD5 and verify. I will add that STLink works.
