It has a half twist throttle only, no pas. The battery was lipo and I have broken the pack up and sold off most of the individual batteries.
I'd be happy enough with $250 for the whole kit.
Hi I have my custom cyclone base kit up for sale.
I'm in Melbourne Aus and can explore shipping quotes to any where. I will sell it as a whole or am open to offers to cannibalism for bits.
The main parts are
Lyen 3077 anodised black with custom graphics and upgraded silicone phase wires...
Out of curiosity what does the Bafang axle look like? I presume it has a drive gear and a couple of bearing diameters. Why not just make a new axle with isis interface instead of crappy square taper?
Solved! The gear slipping problems seem to have just been a bent derailleur hanger! Always the simple solution, only after I stripped down the freehub and found nothing wrong. I ended up changing the chain and cluster to a slightly fresher one so can't really be sure it was just the...
Ok its been ages since I've posted or riden my bike.
My knees seem to be pretty much shot and the slightly wider cranks seem to aggravate them badly. Doh.
I spent a heap of hours on this project with the idea of commuting on some fun trails most days of the week.
I am working on strengthening...
Luckily i wasn't paying for machine time !!
It was my first build so maybe it is geared a bit low but everyone seems to have overheating problems with this motor at higher
power levels. I felt that if it was geared lower that i would sacrafice top speed for hill climbing ability, which...
I have been testing the bike on and off over the last month and i have now fitted a throttle tamer to try and offer some more
ride ability. Thanks to Toby82 for selling me one he had, as they are now out of stock at Greyborg USA.
It was set at 40 amps at 48v and popped wheelies pretty much at...
I have had some test rides and was happy with how everything performed. As was my feeling I had the gearing a little
low so top speed was 45kph. Then i realised that i had an 11 tooth sprocket on the rear and it wasn't loving the speed runs
up and down the street as much as i was! :D I will...
Yeah I have read about people doing it to hub motors but you're right they are a lot lower rpm than a mid. Ego say that they run a special gel to get 3000w out of their motors. Just a thought at the moment.
I have been considering trying some non conductive liquid inside the motor to conduct the heat from the stator
to the housing more efficiently. i thing the heat sinks would do a much better job if the hot bits were in "contact" if you
know what i mean. Anyone tried this sort of thing before?
Things are finally seeing some progress! The new mount/gearbox has been finished (see pics) so i am free to assemble the rest of the drive. :D
Super excited to finally get the gearbox complete so it can turn a wheel. I will hopefully get the unit assmbled this weekend and will post some more...
Not much to report sorry. I have been on holidays and house renovations are keeping me from doing much. Boring! !
I will hopefully do some more this week.
Cheers
