New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I just flashed my 48v TSDZ2 motor with the stock firmware following the instructions on the eco-bike.com website and now the motor is completely dead! There's nothing! The screen still comes on but no power on throttle or PAS... Anyone else experienced this? Anything I can do to troubleshoot...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I am experiencing the pedals moving forward but not moving motor / drivechain when under load (happens regardless of whether motor is on off) - is this what you mean by axle instability?

    My econo-e-bike

Very interesting, thanks for the detailed post - looks like a setup that works really well for you. That's exactly the system I want to find (at a similar price) in Australia, I'll contact the seller again and ask if he'll ship to Australia.

Would a 1500w Direct Drive Hub Get Me Up Short but Steep Hills on Full Suspension Bike without frying?

Another option would be to attempt to install my TSDZ2 mid drive somehow on the bike (GT Sensor 2). I think the bottom bracket thread is the right size, but because of the design its almost 'floating'. Someone posted some pics of the bottom bracket on another ebike forum - not sure how /...

And does it rub against the dust cover housing? Did you do anything to space it out?

Would a 1500w Direct Drive Hub Get Me Up Short but Steep Hills on Full Suspension Bike without frying?

Thanks everyone for your useful, thoughtful and helpful comments - so much knowledge here! Going to do a bit more thinking and a bit more research before making the plunge! Torn between just giving one the cheaper 1000w DD ebay systems a shot and seeing what happens, or spending a bit more and...

Would a 1500w Direct Drive Hub Get Me Up Short but Steep Hills on Full Suspension Bike without frying?

I found an ebay kit which claims to be a geared 1000w 48v motor (28a controller) - what do you think? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/26-1000W-48V-Rear-Wheel-Electric-Bicycle-E-Bike-Motor-Conversion-Kit-Cycling/292973980646?epid=3011640951&hash=item44369c2be6:g:cgAAAOSwRwxcfyh5 I am dubious if it...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I tried to fit a 34t tooth chainring to my TSDZ2 but I'm not sure if its supposed to go on the inside of the 'spider' that holds the chainring (where original chainring was) or on the outside (where chainring guard was previously). When I fit to the inside of the 'spider' the chain rubs against...

    TSDZ2 versions and throttle

I don't think there's any reason not to go the throttle version - I have it. I don't use it much but useful to have when walking with bike, or if I am just jumping on bike quickly and can just give a quick blast with throttle (note on TSDZ2 throttle doesn't give full power / boost).

Would a 1500w Direct Drive Hub Get Me Up Short but Steep Hills on Full Suspension Bike without frying?

Great to hear, what kind of hills have you got up with it? Anything off road / steep? Does it lose speed and bog down if you don't have a run up?

Would a 1500w Direct Drive Hub Get Me Up Short but Steep Hills on Full Suspension Bike without frying?

These tools are excellent thank you! I've just used them to calculate hill and the satellite map isn't that detailed in my area with such short distances it doesn't seem very accurate. The steepest climb is actually showing as a downhill using the tool. And the two other hills come out as 2 -...

Would a 1500w Direct Drive Hub Get Me Up Short but Steep Hills on Full Suspension Bike without frying?

Is it a regular ebay type kit or is it a slow wind / lower RPM kit for hill climbing?
