Doc, have you guys had any updates on this condition of cuting out 1/3 down the strip? We had a similar issue with a sevcon, but our would sometimes cut 2/3 of the way down.

When I was racing my S in '13 we added a size 6 and quickly ran into heating issues. We drilled the end plates in a way that sounds very similar to how you describe. It made a big difference. I tested out an oil cooling method and that made an even bigger difference. Would be interesting to see...

You can buy the clips with the wires coming out from Milwaukee. I forget the part number, but I have bought several of them way back in the day. I think they call them test clips or something like that.

Actually, that looks a lot like the motor on my old air compressor that has a blown metal air line that I stopped using. I have an old 5hp gas chipper that doesn't work, picked it up for free. I think I might try to merge the two of those together...

5 hp is the standard gas size for home use, so I was going with that.
