Thanks Hyena :D
That Frame is an LMX-81 by LMXbikes (https://www.facebook.com/LMXbikes) and Biktrix (http://www.biktrix.com/).
It is still in its infancy (i.e prototype phase)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A80rL95_Npc
I really do like the look of the 81 !!!
Hmm would also be keen on...
Hi crossbreak,
I was wondering if you could maybe shed some more light on that programmer for the Smart BMS ? Do i need to buy there "proprietary" programmer or can i just use a generic one ?
Nice Build :D

Jazzman
My LG Cells arrived :D
Arrived after a 3month wait.. Packed VERY well (Plastic/Cardboard Box/ Newspaper/Bubblewrap then cells all taped together to prevent shorting etc.)
All cells are at 3.60v to 3.62v
Very Highly Recommend Tumich , Thankyou
Thankyou Damian,
Definitely liking that capacity meter for the price :)
I'll have to look into getting hand held probes for spot-welding and make sure to dial the current in first :D

Hi Damian, I'm also waiting on some LG cells from Tumich and have a few questions with your build:
Where did you get / build the capacity meter ?
Where did you get the shrink tubing from ?
What kinds of problems did you run into when spot-welding etc. ?
Any chance also of a closeup of how...
With Regards to a D167 from Bestech power: http://www.bestechpower.com/592v16spcmbmspcbforli-ionli-polymerbatterypack/PCB-D167.html
How do i change the current handling (continuos and peak) capacity of this ??
I'm assuming that i just remove some Mosfets ??

Hmmm actually i think it's a Li-po battery pack instead of a li-ion...
(Built-in 63.5-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery)
Ok not getting a circuit breaker free's up some $$ so i'm looking at a 16s BMS.
Space is going to be tight though on this...
