Luna Black Box: anyone tried it yet?

I have one and I love it. Have used it many times. They had a batch in stock recently, all gone again, I think, though. I take it out on rides so I can tune where I test. Not practical to do so with a PC. If you want to tweak your PAS settings for your riding, IMO it is much faster and...

DIY Fix for BBS02/BBSHD Pedal/Throttle Issue

Ok, thanks! I just got my first new-style controller, and I'm not liking the throttle wheelies at all. I'll unplug for now.

DIY Fix for BBS02/BBSHD Pedal/Throttle Issue

To use this throttle switch, we need to break out the PAS wire inside the motor, and switch that, right?

    Gearsensor Delay BBS02

Lego, I didn't see your answer, above. I think the parameter you are looking for, to minimize delay, is 'time of stop'. How long motor stays off. 5 is lowest recommended value for older models without gearsensor lead. 5 is 50 ms. 5 will require to to build some pedal RPM before PAS comes...

Fat Bike BBSHD Build for Epic Offroad Adventures

Your battery box looks great! I am now intrigued with what I can cover my frame with, for stealthier parking. Interesting thought. Maybe a muddy jacket, sure. Good idea.

Fat Bike BBSHD Build for Epic Offroad Adventures

craneplaneguy, Great progress and update, thanks! Love the free lunch brainstorm, fun for all. As to how to mount a brake sensor on that bike, I wrote up the way I did it, here...

Bafang HD1000 FATTY - ME TOO

Great bike with some sweet mods! Love the motor guard and gears reduction. I see it came to you with Vee rubber tires, V-8 I believe. I like the looks of these for commuting use, but I have read that they handle terribly. What did you think of them?

    BBSHD build: Motobecane Sturgis Bullet

Few more pics: Once I got home, I dropped the seat and hooned-up my own back yard. 3-4 gear, throttle. Would wheelie, would drift! 14 mph tops I think. Spent 15 min tearing up the snow, no harm to the grass.

    BBSHD build: Motobecane Sturgis Bullet

All I rode more tonight. We have about 5" of new, heavy, wet snow. I needed all the gears, mostly the lower ones (biggest rear cogs). There was plow spray along the roads, with big chunks, still soft. I powered through a lot of it in 1st-2nd gears, PAS1, on the right-of-way and/or sidewalk...

    BBSHD build: Motobecane Sturgis Bullet

Waynebergman, Thanks! I'm at about $3300, all in, counting the charger and all accessories, connectors, wiring, lights etc. Includes a couple tools I didn't have. That includes the tubeless conversion tape, valve stems, sealer. Almost half the cost is for the donor bike, which I am real...

    BBSHD build: Motobecane Sturgis Bullet

Great! Have fun with it. Is yours a 120mm kit? For the rear shifter cable, I think I know what you mean - it routes under the bottom bracket, on the RH side of center, so it winds up between the motor and the BB. I was careful to keep it as far to the right as I could, and it works well...

Fat Bike BBSHD Build for Epic Offroad Adventures

OK, I completed my build last night. Thanks again for the help, MountainTime! Craneplaneguy, how is your build coming? You are welcome to ask any questions in my thread; I'll help if I can. I posted my bike in the ES Photo Gallery, here...

    BBSHD build: Motobecane Sturgis Bullet

More pics: Drive side spacer: Not my girly hands! The bike is a lot of fun. We are expecting 6-12" of snow this week, hooray! My frame is from Bikes Direct. It showed up within 4 days to Michigan, with one small chip on the forks, but that is no big deal to me. I called...

    BBSHD build: Motobecane Sturgis Bullet

This is my first eBike build, a mid-drive fatbike. I installed a BBSHD and 20 AH Panasonic ICR18650PF Triangle Pack, both from Luna Cycles, onto a Motobecane Sturgis Bullet. Others with the same or very similar motor/frame build combinations are welcome to add your own builds to this thread...

BAFANG power for the folding Montague for the airplane

I think that may be the coolest DIY transport rig I've ever seen. I bet there aren't too many places you can't get to, with the combination. Who needs a flying car? (I still want a flying car.)
