RESOLVED! ES member fell very ill & is working this out :)

Mods, please delete this thread. Devries has made everything right and doesn't deserve this thread haunting him when he's been a greatly valued member of these forums. Thanks so much.

RESOLVED! ES member fell very ill & is working this out :)

I wanted to post on this thread one last time before I ask that it be deleted permanently. Decries contacted me last week and tried by several methods...phone, multiple emails, etc. It was what I suspected (although better than I had feared because he's not dead!) in that he had a serious...

Adaptive Tadpole Trike - Best/Easiest conversion to electric

Hello, Sorry I've been away from the forums for a bit and neglecting my thread but my Dad passed away somewhat unexpectedly this week and I'm too disabled and ill to go to the funeral. I was his only daughter and ended up as a Daddy's Girl, so to speak. I adored him, and he adored me. I miss...

Adaptive Tadpole Trike - Best/Easiest conversion to electric

Any other ideas? Recommendations for best direct drive or a link to comparisons? I'm too new at this to know what I'm looking for but I want to learn. Also, I'm nervous about how hard it is to install an external controller if the Magpie 3 is not good with the integrated controller. Thanks...

Adaptive Tadpole Trike - Best/Easiest conversion to electric

I was afraid that having the controller in the motor wasn't a good thing but being new to this, it sounded fantastically simple. How difficult is the external controller to hookup (not for you geniuses :) ...but someone who can follow directions, pay attention, is disabled and never done this...

Adaptive Tadpole Trike - Best/Easiest conversion to electric

OK, profile updated! This is a terrible answer but I don't know how fast I want to go. I've never had a bike that had the capability to go all that fast and after I get the hang of driving /riding the trike & get really comfortable with the direct underseat steering, I'll want to go faster...

Adaptive Tadpole Trike - Best/Easiest conversion to electric

Thanks so much for the great information! I felt more comfortable with the hub motors but didn't want to pass up something great if a mid-drive was better for this application. In answer to your question, all three wheels have disc brakes. So it's simple to choose different size wheels and the...

Adaptive Tadpole Trike - Best/Easiest conversion to electric

Hello, I'm soon to have a semi custom adaptive tadpole trike. Front wheels are 20",rear is 24". Disc brakes all around. I'm not a mechanic and although I've had some very generous offers from fellow ESers to help me build it up, unfortunately geography plays a big part in this and they are in...

RESOLVED! ES member fell very ill & is working this out :)

Has anyone heard any more about this or found anything out? Just curious more than anything and any answers would be a luxury. Thank you for taking the time to look up info and follow it up. I know there are a few people looking into this situation still and I truly appreciate it. :-)

RESOLVED! ES member fell very ill & is working this out :)

I completely agree with this! I think everyone on ES benefits and it hopefully it discourages anyone coming on these (totally awesome) forums to purposely in the future. Mike is completely right, I (well, we - my husband and I) don't want blood. I'd like to know what happened, I'd like to...

RESOLVED! ES member fell very ill & is working this out :)

I still hope we can find what happened in this case... And then we can decide what to do from here. Since it's been less than a year, I doubt any statute of limitations has run out at this point. Thanks again for the help.

RESOLVED! ES member fell very ill & is working this out :)

Actually, it's less than a year since I first sent Dean money for the ebike project. I checked my first posts on here and they were mid-May of 2012. We didn't get involved in the building up of ebikes until a bit later. I quoted this message because I don't know who thought I lived anywhere...

RESOLVED! ES member fell very ill & is working this out :)

Completely resolved - or soon will be! Devries is the man of integrity I always felt in my heart he was and as so many of us feared, he was incredible ill. We're starting work on my entire project again and all is being made right!! Hi Folks, I've been hesitant to post this for several...

    Direct drive or geared?

That makes sense about having too much weight up front. So battery in the rear on the Dahon it would be (similar to the one linked to in a previous post). My concern about the Bully has become geometry - size wise. I've read through the geometry carefully and while the standover is completely...
