    20" / Foldable fatbike / Bafang G60 750w / 48v 20ah battery / 48v 22a controller

20 inch wheels are probably going to cut down on the top speed but you will have a really nice accelleration with a 1k watt geared hub motor on 20" wheels! Expect like 35-40 km/h max

Are Torque Arms for Rear-Hub Motors necessary?

Wouldn't a 1000 Watt BBSHD apply the same kind of pressure on the dropouts? Just coming from the chain instead?

Are Torque Arms for Rear-Hub Motors necessary?

Hi, I'm looking to put a 1000 watt hub motor on a hardtail mtb aluminium frame. Since this will be a rear-hub motor is a torque arm really necessary? Logic would suggest that any pressure from the hub spinning would go inwards on the frame and not backwards where it "could" brake off the...

    Better brand: Pinty or Voilamart?

I feel like you just cherry-picked the cons listed you want to reply to :) So let me just add them for you here. You forgot to include the part about having to install new brakes with cut-off switches due to PAS. Specially if you have hyd. brakes that becomes a hassle. Again, that's 2 more...

    Better brand: Pinty or Voilamart?

I can easily tell you why it's better NOT to have it. 1. Less wires 2. Less trouble 3. Most importantly.. These cadence-sensored PAS are SOO bad.. They take so long to kick in and they don't stop until after a few seconds after you stop pedaling. Which means you MUST use shut-off brakes for...

    Better brand: Pinty or Voilamart?

You don't need to setup the PAS from these cheap hub motors, they accelerate exactly the same with a throttle. We've built a few MTB's with these Voilamart motors and they work perfectly. If you want quick acceleration you just start twist the throttle and pedal at the same time. Having PAS...

ebay seller aaccessories - C$239.90 w/ free s/h for 1kw Front Fat Kit

My friend has a similar kit for his MTB (non-fat) and it is excellent value! Drives effortless to 30mph (throttle only) and the combination of the hubmotor and normal pedaling just makes you fly away like nothing else! 30mph is really as fast as you want/need to go on a bicycle.

OVERCLOCKING an ANCHEER 20 inch folding ebike (Model AM001908 36V20" 250W)

I haven't had a chance to try my 48v Battery yet either. The 36v battery just does everything it needs perfectly. I'm at around 500 total km on it without any issues. With the limiter disconnected I reach around 30 kph, which is plenty. I could pedal like a hamster and go to 35km/h but honestly...

OVERCLOCKING an ANCHEER 20 inch folding ebike (Model AM001908 36V20" 250W)

Hi Matador, Yes that's me :-) Your thread actually made me want to look for this bike and then luckily found a great offer for it! :) Did you ever get to try a 48v Battery with the stock controller? I have a large 48v battery that would more than double my range and it being 48v also give it a...

    Ancheer Electric Folding Bike

Great tip for the disk rotors, I'll definitely look into that! In regards to the handle-bar, then since it's a folding bike it's a bit of a different setup compared to a regular bike. On a normal bike I would easily be able to adjust it the way you mentioned there, but I honesty don't see how...

    Ancheer Electric Folding Bike

Hi guys, Thought I'd give a short review on my newly acquired E-bike. I was looking for a cheap electric bike to satisfy my thirst for something to ride around on here in the summer. (Northern Europe) The summer up here is short and with it ending soon I looked for something with fast delivery...

    Re-program cheap chinese controller?

Thanks Amberwolf! Seems like it's not as easy as I thought ;S I had an Ebike before and with the LCD-Display I could select Battery Voltage, but for this Ancheer bike, it's just an LED-display for setting pedal assist modes. I was thinking to put a 48Ah battery to it - do you know if that...

    Re-program cheap chinese controller?

Hi guys, Is it possible to re-program any of these cheap controllers that come with budget-bikes? I have two of those Ancheer bikes incoming and I'm guessing the controller is like this: I've seen people configure their Bafang controllers with some kind of USB-kit and wondering if the same...

    Security/How To Prevent E-Bike Theft??

It's just not possible to secure a bike - ANY bike. If someone is out to get it, they will get it. Any cable-lock will take 1 second to cut over with a tool that fits in a large back-pocket. A U-lock as mentioned, is only 20 seconds with a portable powertool. I would only take an e-Bike when I...

Middrive or HUB on Single Speed Bike

Sounds great I will definitely look for a HUB Motor then! Are there really no "small" controllers? In all kits I can only find some huge aluminum included ones and I'd really love to minimize the attachments (which is also why I first liked middrives). Ideally I would want one of the "small...
