    18650 Insulator Rings - Redundant?

For the $2 it costs to order 100 of these cardboard/fiber cell insulators it's well worth the piece of mind not having t think about a potential short somewhere with a 1kw battery between your legs... Might take a tad extra time but it's worth it imho

Gonna get a used model S

It might sound like a particularly bad idea.... It's just 2 things. 1. I will eventually need a new car since I'm rolling around in my 2010 accord and 2. I freaking hate gasoline at this point having to drive out of the city to get gas since its $3.75+/gal in the city... Conceptually the...

Gonna get a used model S

Uh not really... Waiting to buy a car till it's major years of depreciation have passed is a heck of a lot better than rolling off the lot with a brand new car and especially putting 10 miles on the car and having it depreciate $2000 in about 10 minutes... Plus I wouldn't generalize either. I...

Gonna get a used model S

If all goes to plan I should have a new job lined up for myself in the next few months... With that my aging honda accord from 2010 needs replaced... I'm starting to see model S's 60 and 85 starting to dip into the low $30k number. A mid range 3 would set me back about 40 so not really my kinda...

3rd ebike battery. This time, doing it right

Yea. I'm charging at a painfully slow rate... 1.75A charge rate which means it takes like 6hrs to charge it back up from my ride. Cutoff voltage for the charger is 54.6V as it should be and my bms is working properly so everything should be in spec. I was finally able to fit the 54t front...

3rd ebike battery. This time, doing it right

Few more updates: Had my first experience having some dude yell at me while biking to work... Well another biker coming from the other direction yelled at me. Not sure why...he looked pissed and I slowed down too...it's not like I don't obey the trail rules...Maybe he was just upset he didn't...

    Motor assisted walking device

Hey guys... I got a crazy idea for some device that'll assist when walking in the city. I've been thinking there's not really a device that helps us walk or aid in our mobility beyond a scooter, bike, longboard.. So I've got an idea of a tread like attachment to your feet for an extra boost for...

    Atlantic article

You must have opera browser? Lol that came up on my suggested news articles. I really wonder what a small scale, high efficiency, high qc battery manufacturing would cost.... Obviously the larger you get the economy of scale comes into effect.. But if there's these super crazy cheap Chinese...

Oh that poor PCB and poor electronics! Gosh that looks like a disaster! And I thought my controller with soldered 10AWG wires all up in the controllers business was messy...

What Chainring/s is everyone running these days

Oh man! This new setup is the bomb! Riding into work today. The 54t chainring is great and the entire setup is butter smooth! I think the new pedals are a huge help too! I do still end up exceeding really the fastest I'm willing to pedal on my short commute right now but I can definitely keep up...

What Chainring/s is everyone running these days

Oh my gosh... So I rented a capital bike for the first time yesterday...I had to go 4mi in the city across the natl mall... It was killer! Yea I have huge respect for real bikers now. My legs were on fire🔥...im hoping this new chainring allows me to build up my strnght and endurance without too...

    Rear aluminum dropouts bent

Bummer dude! I always worry about mine since I'm running close to 2kw through my 1000w hub motor... I have a chromolly frame though with steel dropouts... I check them regularly and they're great thus far! I have plans for a torque arm..just haven't got around to it yet... that's my summer project!

What Chainring/s is everyone running these days

Surprise surprise! The crankarms arrived early! Had a little issue with the fit though. I can't have the chanring on the inside of the spider or else it'll hit the frame... so I have it on the outside which is perfect..however, the screws are meant for the guard...so I used a few rubber washers...
